The panel is the operator's interface with the engine: it starts and stops the engine, shows engine speed, pressures, temperatures and diagnostic codes on the screen, and carries the six panel fuses (10 A to 60 A) and a capped auxiliary socket, so it is the part replaced when a panel's display or key switch fails or an engine is being re-panelled. The fascia is marked 24V PANEL and T402794 (see photos), and the keys and fittings are still in their sealed bag taped to the side of the enclosure.
